It all began in the 1940s, when Count Paolo Marzotto, still a child, asked his mother to buy him a bottle of wine during a trip to Sicily. What might have seemed like a whim revealed, over time, a great passion and a deep love for a mountain region dedicated to the art of sustainable viticulture, respecting the environment and the entire community that lives there. Years of investment, research, and innovation followed; ambitious projects guided by strong values shared by an entire family. Today, Count Marzotto’s grandson, Grégoire Desforgers, is carrying on the legacy of this extraordinary project.
